I am a 10-year-old girl at my best friend's house, and I insist upon making my very own recipe for homemade cookies. We mix together some flour and water, pour the mixture onto a plate, and nuke it in the microwave. Obviously, we both gagged as we ate a spoonful of my horrid cookie-paste! That day, I think I gave a whole new meaning to the term "hot glue"!

Though this childhood story does not relate to my new-found love of sewing, it does remind me of my life-long desire to always be creating something...anything!!! Now, some twenty+ years later, I have three amazing daughters who inspire me everyday to keep those creative (yet, sometimes disastrous) moments alive!

{the craft}
I tinkered with my mother's old sewing machine here and there as a kid (i.e. I thread it a bunch of times, but never actually made anything!), and decided to buy my own just a few years ago. With a new baby girl in the house, and friends that were popping out kids all around me, I really wanted to start making fun, colorful, and most importantly, useful items for all! I gave a few pairs of my handmade booties away as baby-shower gifts and instantly knew that I had something special...something you can't find in a big-box retail store (well, maybe something similar, but was it made individually, by hand? Definitely not!).

It's been four fun-filled years since opening shop on Etsy, and I am so grateful to this website for allowing my products to reach wonderful customers all over the world (five continents and counting!). I welcome all of my fabulous returning- and new-customers to check back often, as I will be adding more items that I have been working on...if I only had 8 arms and 80 extra hours in a day, I would have them all completed already! Of course, you can depend on my newest creations to never be void of color or pattern...two elements that I live to surround myself with everyday.
